Desire is neither increased noor decreased.it is discovered and explored by the partner.Especially in women frigidity or for that matter less interest in sex is merely psychological most of the times unlike men whose 90 %sexual desire depends on their biological condition and other physiological factors.
The fear of insecurity in women is the major cause of their lack of interest in sex.it is a great turn off for them.Every women on this planet is vulnerable to this fear in her relationship with man no matter how she apparently react to it.There are very complex physio-psycho-sociological factors behind it.
Help her come out of this fear by showing care and love and your true manly leadership in the relationship.Remember there is a world of a difference between being domineering and dominant in the relationship for a man.Being dominant is just a manly way of expressing love and care for his woman. woman being your opposite sex want you to be dominant and authoritative provided you are loving to her at the same time.some men get confused and think that either he can be dominant or caring to his wife.This is absolutely wrong.She wants you to have both these at the same time because feeling your manliness and dominance is her natural desire but wants you to be caring as well so that she can get rid of the fear of insecurity.She would get frustrated if you keep showing your love in a too sensitive way, love her but like a man.How would she feel if you start crying when you see her ill? 2.behave like a man and be her boss.

There is a scenein a movie or novel(i don't remember) "meeting the master" the wife is disobedient and goes out without his permission and blah blah. the husband after getting fed up of all this, take control of her and set some rules for her and he became authoritative and dominant with manly grace but with love for her.
she starts behaving and became more submissive and obedient.the husband asked her," why didn't u become so obedient before when i was lienient towards you"the wife replied."I was behaving like that because i wanted you to be a in charge and boss of me". The husband asked," then why didn't u tell me". the wife replied," it would have ruined the whole point. I wanted you to take charge and control of me "against" my will".
one of the reasons why women get depressed in the relationship is because man don't have this blend of dominance and love together. she finds one but look for the other and get confused and upset.
Ever wondered why Islam(or for that matter any religion) commands wife to be submissive to her husband's authourity and man to assert his authority but with care and love.That is why they both are called garments of each other because their opposite psychological and physiological chemistry.If you have grasped what is said above in my post you would have no problem to understand the wisdom of the Quran in this regard.
